Dreams are my refuge
From the hell we call reality
Don't tell me I don't understand
Because I can
I simply don't wish to accept
That this world's falling apart
If I look I will break
Don't tell me I don't see
Because I do
I see a lot more that you do
So is it wrong to not want to be
Apart of this world?
Apart of the meaningless death?
Don't tell me I'm not lost,
That I've been home all alone
Because this isn't MY home
I am not the blind one here
You all are
If you can't see what is happening
Don't say I am crazy
Because I just don't want to be in this mortals hell;
It's not my fault you can't see it.

although this comment is almost 5 years too late i still want to say that this is the type of poem that every generation of people can relate too, especially as we go through a recession in todays time.
i've also felt like that where i just try to stay asleep because it feels like the only world that's safe.
really awesome poem! |
