Diet
I live on tins and sandwiches And things in plastic wrappers Because nothing better seems to be on offer. 5 fruit and veg a day 8 glasses of water We can control how we live but not how we eat No. Stop. Reverse that. Malnutrition muddles me I don't get enough excitement happiness comfort or vitamin A. Just carbohydrate, fat and boredom Slowing me into a lethargy. No wonder I'm overweight.

In case anyone doesn't click (how many people do, first time they read a poem?), this is an extended metapor. I'm not literally overweight. It's about symbolism and stuff. |

Good poem. A nice change from what I'm used to reading. |
