Transformation (greg)

Contributed by In2thetwilightzone on Tuesday, 30th November 2004 @ 03:37:49 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

il scratch you deep under your skin,
il slice a hole and crawl right in,
il infect your mind with woeful sin,

il bleed your dreams till you sleep with open eyes,
il ignite the fire as you burn in demise,
now well see who regrets the lies

maybe now the little boy will play no more,
and give his heart to the one who's he nearly tore,
burst with emotion, love galour,

to wrap me warm and keep me sane,
so i can feel his heart as he swears to never play again,
il feel it burn and beat right through the vein,
il hide the scars he put on my brain

and when i feel his lips curess my skin,
il feel a tingle from deep within,
that'll make me smile and contently grin,

as i have shown a demon his enlightment,
i have turned my pain into sheer excitement,
as now when i look in his eyes for inspiration,
il see the truth knowing theres no imitation,
and cry in relief of this great transformation...

well i dont agree with changing someone just to fit someone elses preference. afterall, are the changes you want actually right for him? i think people trying to change others to what they think is disrespectful. its like saying you arent good enough till you are this way. thats like religious people converting others because they think they are right. they have no respect for the person themselves.

It is an interesting poem. Dark, but interesting.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
