Vivid Tangerine

Topic: dedicatedpoems

A fright too sentimental but I've got to say I see;
Your person is so gentle like a warm, sweet cup of tea.

To sit just by a fire place as embers form and glow
In colors that, too frames your face. Discussing poem or prose.

I've more such wish of days to come than strength to be so bold
As to tiptoe round like fingers drum and make a friend of gold.

I suspect the way you're christened is the best that names can do.
Though if names had really listened, you'd come before the fire'd ensued

For your warmth's a welcome blazing as a cozy hearthside flame
And your smile's a curtain raising-- a portrayal worth acclaim.

Your vivid warmth revives me like a phoenix borne of coal.
Your benevolence contrives zeal as sunrise o'er scenic knoll.

But I've more such wish of days to come than strength to be so bold
As to tiptoe round like fingers drum and make a friend of gold.

I wish you were more tangible-- like vivid tangerine.
Although it's understandable, our separation: mien.

Yet hope is sparked just one time more for you're not like the rest,
So possibly our blunt rapport might one day burn its best.

Wonderful, Chelsea! How amazing the object of this poem must feel. Such gratitude and appreciation. The language in it, the sentence order and structure was amazing, and the small use of the repetition of that one stanza strengthened it a lot. Wonderfully done. Keep posting...I missed you.

I can't guess, so you'll just have to pm and tell me. I'm guessing that this one came easily, but I could be wrong. It is so warm and lovely and the use of rhyme is divine.
