ill-repaired and tether cut i drifted with the wind blue eyes the sea that took me there
hello so soon i feel for him like a busted satellite
and that month became like rain on the sahara
forgotten all the first was told wrought out in seasons past affections clock ticked its last rewound and start over
stories of old stories of love wheeling me in on a journey my wings he gently mended
wealth did not lose its value the street still warm beneath me i stood there in the dark a queen without her castle a cloud without a sky
good-bye the coldest word of all my one regret good-bye

Loved it - The line "a queen without her castle a cloud without a sky" just sparked my little brain into poem-reading-happiness. |
