The shortest path between two points is a straight line. Who would have thought that concept applies to so much. The straight line between us seems infinite.
I don't know Who it was That decided to end it all.
I don't know Who it was That caused this discrepancy
In our individual worlds Nothing seems to have evolved The union of minds causes tension.
I wish it didn't have to happen this way I wish our space didn't have to be so distant. You've forced the position upon yourself.
I'd like to think That one day, you'll thank me.
I'd like to think That one day, it'll be ok.
I can't promise anything. Your decisions hint at the outcome.
You can't expect My solidarity to hold up through all of this.
Turning me into an empty shell Devoiding me of my presence.
"You look good", you say. "You don't", I think. The words never come out.
I guess that's it. Hopefully this isn't the end.
Only time will tell.

Very good description of a relationship at a crossroads. Which way will it go? Makes you think. |
