hard livins got me lost and disrupted
past disappointments has got my mentality corrupted
lettin responsibilities slide, being so unproductive
staring from behind this glass prison with no strength to bust it
used to dismiss feelings of paranoia, now I just trust it/
I been to this place before
backtracking with a heart thats broken and sore
emotional stability between fair and poor
hatin where Im headed cuz I'm knowin whats in store
scared to reach for help, so I stay down like the floor
nights filled with dreams of terror and gore/
I was taught early on people betray
saw the closest bonds unwravel and fray
people sayin theyre genuine but hearts are shady and gray
I bought into their disguises so my innocence paid
no one cherished who I was, so that part of me dont wanna stay
crazy how they still scratch their heads like "whats wrong with BB these days?"
They don't know that inside is a little girl who still smiles and plays
but I hide her from societys evil ways
And trusting people............THAT WAS JUST A PHASE.
