The moment has come
It seems as if the hand of death is ready to take me
To begin the journey of eternity with stolen soul
It started out as a simple way to overcome the emotional pain of my existence
Scar upon treacherous scar cover my wrists and arms
I thought I had found a way to overcome my demons
But in the end they have just defeated me
They lurk in my heart blackening as each day passes
Making me believe I have to do this
Before I retreat to my room, my haven, my sanctuary
I kiss my parents goodnight for the first time in months, and tell them I love them
I do the same to my brother, telling him to always be brave
I take each step slowly up to where my life will end
Where I will no longer harm those who I care for most in this world
Where I will end the pain and suffering of my days
I take one last look at my life, my family and silently say an eternal goodbye
I take the knife
Kiss the blade
Hold it against the skin and vein at my wrist, and slice
I feel the steel slip through flesh and tissue
My last sight is of my blood splashing a scarlet tide over my white cotton sheets
I close my eyes and take what I think is my last breath
I awake to see a faint light coming through my window
I see the streaks of sunrise paint the sky as if telling the world a new day is beginning
I look down and see dark crimson streaking my wrist and arm
I realize it is another day
Another chance to start anew
My day has finally come

| This is great stuff ya gotz here. Very nice it kinda brings in a short short story plus the emotion from the writer. Also deeply emotional, well in my point of veiw ^_^. Anyways it kicks butt keep it up ~~lates~~ |
