As I die

Contributed by Dragontear27 on Wednesday, 1st December 2004 @ 05:43:33 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

As I die I open my eyes
and look up at the old blue sky
I watch as the clouds float away
I never thought i'd see this day

the wind blows gently across my face
getting my body ready for the other place
the warm feeling inside my chest
is leading me to the path of eternal rest

my body feels free, and so painless
is this the beggining of true happiness
sunshine creeps arcross my eyes
I shut them slowly as my body dies

when they shut a field of flowers incase the land
dying is nothing like I had planned
I always thought it was darkness and sin
but this peaceful world is the new life I begin
