At the show

At the show we see people that don't usually come out of their burrows to socialize.
People are there that haven't been seen for months.
It's best when you haven't gone to a show in while, and you get to see everyone that you've missed.
People in leather jackets with spikes on the jackets and in their hair.
Mohawked men with bull rings and ear piercings.
People who don't look like they should be there but are.
Motorcycle friends that haven't been seen in forever.
Then the music starts and everyone just comes together.
All the different colored and different sized come together in one mass of writhing bodies.
It's a wonderful thing to watch.
Arms flailing, legs kicking, bodies moving, everyone falling on top of someone else and then being helped back up.
Music blares and the band members join the crowds, everything is organized chaos.
The friends you went with are smiling, the way that you have never seen outside of shows.
It makes them happy, and it makes you happy that they're happy, which makes everything just wonderful.
The show ends, everyone mills around for a bit.
They go outside, talk to friends, everyone says goodbye, there are hugs and accosting of heads.
The happiness lingers for the longest time afterwards, even when your in the park talking to your friends about boys, you can't help but remember the times at the show.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
