Hold on
Hold tight
Just one more day
I know I'm falling apart
in every way
Don't let me pull away
from the sun
My mind's left
My sanity's gone
I keep telling
One more day
Reminding myself
Keep your head on straight
Well lately I've tried
to fill my lungs
But I cna't seem to gather air
Well lately I've tried
to open my eyes
But all I see is black

Amazing how much we can pain, try to hang on, feel absolutely empty and yet we have enough of our sanity left to know that we are struggling.
This is how I feel when depression hits me. I just hang on in there.. hold tight to something solid until it passes. And yes, it is black when you feel that way.
Do what I do, just shake your head a little, rattle the brain around. Go outside and feel the breeze on your body and look up into the sky and say thank you Lord for giving me this one more day, whether its a painful one or not.. just thank you.
