LoveRemembered
|
Sitting alone in the darkness Staring up at the starry midnight sky Thinking of things that could have been Remembering you...
I try to forget the painful end It is always right there in the back of my mind Holding on to the memory of you... Forever it will be there
I sit waiting for the sunrise To signal a new beggining A new day, with all its possibilities
No matter how hard I try The memory of you will always haunt me But instead of letting it control my life I will make new memories That can block out the pain
The pain you caused me When you walked away Can't be forgotten Only pushed aside

Despite what you think this is rather good. It is a well-expressed poem about the feelings of moving on, and is done with truth and frankness. I think this is a particularly nice line: I sit waiting for the sunrise
To signal a new beggining
A new day, with all its possibilities
I think it expresses a bit of hope. May that hope drive you onward. |
