Shivers

A cold november night
Here I stand unsure filled with fright
I did make the dare
Silly of me feeling scared
I shuffled around then took my first step
Feeling inept
As I got nearer my fear intensed
To myself I thought this doesn't make sence
I was to walk from corner to corner
Kitty corner to make the walk longer
A cold stiff wind was in my face
My feet walking on russling, but damp leaves
Damn ! did it have to be a starless night
A peekaboo moon giving little light
Billowly clouds splattering rain overhead
O'god I'm walking amoung the dead
The branches of a willow tree stroked across my neck
Scaring me like heck
Chills ran up and down my spine
Twelve-fifteen I whined
Then I stumbled on a pile of leaves
I caught myself on a trunk of a tree
Aggha ! I was standing on someone's grave
I jumped off telling myself c'on be brave
I felt that chill
Half running up a slight hill
Suddenly I stoped in my tracks
I swore I heard something snap
I looked around in the dark
Movement "Oh" c'omon my eyes wern't that sharp
Wait I hear it again
Sure as sin
I took off my belt for protection
Shaking shivering full of tention
There "a racoon"
My mind was getting the best of me I thought it was some sort of goon
Where o' where is that moon
I continued on
I saw a monument I reconized
Saw it many times during the day going by
Half way home
Fearful scared alone
I wished it were lighter
I wished I felt mighter
OH ! my gosh I stepped on a new grave
Shivers not at all feeling brave
Felt like I've been walking hours
Smelling the scent of furneral flowers
Almost across the cemetery now
Then I triped on a baby's stone
A perploping thud
There I was scampering to get up in the mud
I could see dim headlights on what must be Krafft rd.
Shivers and fear had their hold
Quickening my pace
I could hear them, but couldn't see any face
Over here
I put away my fear
Feeling better
In uninson my friends ask whats the matter ?
Scared !
That I wouldn't share
Naw ! never
Then why do you shiver ?
Oh ! man don't you know ?
It's cold
