what i am
is a 15 year old rocker
punk, preferably, but metal is good
and the classics are well worth listening to
a little bit goth
black nails and black thoughts
evil music and midnight clothes
want my guitar
want my violin
soft side? you bet
can't wait for some music
wait for some fun
faster, faster
until the strings pop
got my skateboard
and some bruises
battle scars
too bad the board always wins
but i'll get the hang of it eventually
i'm all for the girls
being one myself
nothing against the guys
just some egotistical and anatomical differences
nothing big
just a little hippie
i'm all for peace and love
all against this 'blood for oil' war
started by a president
who can't even show up for his duty
but would still send others to their death
just to impress daddy
and those who oppose
i'll just put another rose
on their graves
too much corruption
too much greed
pity this isn't a free country anymore
i can't honestly say
i'm proud to be an american anymore
no, not with all these lies
i'm not like them
i'm not here to impress
i'm just here to be
me
