'cause you're haunting me tonight

I tried to draw you
and I shouldn't laugh
at my linger
shades and all
you incite me

I tried to touch you
with my sticky ways
you don't fold
only run me over
with your calm

oh, how we fit
skin so bare
so bare and wasted
the slap and bite of heat

I tried not to ache
when you reach me like this
stealing from my confines
I'm stuck
eyes continuous

I tried to inquire
you're infectious with your
horizontal line
making me want
to stay

just ask
only ask me, baby
let the fluid soak in
pump it through my veins

I tried to remember
the wicked pitch
of your whisper
your breath on my face
and I'm sold

I tried to draw you
make the eyes dark
mouth wet
I shouldn't laugh
this radial landscape

get on top
I'll make it tight
make it so good
so you'll stay
