AS PEBBLES IN THE STREAM(Peter Sprenkeler)

Failure is indeed an intense time of great loneliness,
For there is no one else to shoulder the blame.
You have erredhurting yourself as well as others,
Now you wrestlewith the resultant grief and shame.

Yet I see this occasion as an opportunity to grow personally,
A new strength of characterfrom failure can bring.
Irrespective of agethere are lessons in life to be learned,
From failuregreat reward can also from the lesson spring.

For failure I believe is the garden bed of success,
From out of the darkened compost of failure new life can bloom.
We simply have to nurture our resolve and learn from the lessons,
And stand back in amazementand give the new life room.

As rough pebbles buffeted in a rapidly flowing mountain stream,
We too will experience the turbulenceyet refined along the way.
If we can endure the often painful process of failure and loss,
A beautifully polished beingwe can all emerge some day.

Failure is just the introductionin lifes novel of victory,
We just need to endeavourto get to the end of the book.
And for those that will deride and mock at our abject failure,
I simply saywe are being polishedthen take another look.
