Cast Not Love Aside

Contributed by hoist1atca on Saturday, 4th December 2004 @ 11:16:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Do not cast love to the side because of the fear that you feel-
Embrace its warmth and let go the emotions that you hide-
For love is the strongest emotion known to man-
And has the power to survive all the pain that the past has caused…

Love has a way of allowing a blind man see things around him-
It has the strength to make a seeing man blind to all but what he feels-
It has the power to make a rich man part with all that he has-
And a way to make a poor man the wealthiest man on this world…

There is a force to match no other behind that which we call love-
For love has given just as much happiness as it has pain-
It has caused more destruction than any of nature’s forces-
Yet in the end love binds hearts together without doubt or question…

Love conquers time and trial for all who seek it out-
Pain and joy go hand in hand when linked by love-
For all things are possible if one chooses to take the chance-
As true love last for the duration of time, which passes into tomorrow…

What do you do if you touched a piece of burning metal!!!!!... you throw it away for it hurts and what hurts is not good for you...sometimes love hurts and like that piece of burning metal you must throw it aside...so I say depending on your situation sometimes you SHOULD cast love aside. I for one do not like to have burnt hands.

Your words have left an impression on this heart.
Thanks Joe. It's nice to see optimism; even when one
does not feel it. Love takes many forms and everything
happens for a reason. With this in mind, you are correct
in saying that we should not cast love aside. It is in taking
risks that we learn the most wonderful lessons. Some
not always good, but they are essential in our pursuit of happiness.
Thanks for sharing this.

~Breezy
