Why Do You Love Me?

Contributed by EternalNight4x on Sunday, 5th December 2004 @ 07:40:34 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

How can you love me
When I only hate myself?
Why do you care for me
When pain is all I felt?
What do you see in me
That no one else can see?
Am I really so special
That the girl you want is me?
Why did you choose me
Over girls with tender hearts?
How could you fall for me
When I constantly fall apart?
Why is it that you love me?
For a reason why I cannot see

We humans that have been put upon this earth are a weird bunch indeed. We always seek for things that we will never get and we always ask why for everything that we do get... hmm although sometimes what we do get and what we want is different...which is why the questings for answers to why. In one way it is lucky to have someone who care enough to love you but on the other hand love is too much a bother and responsibility...hmm but indeed love is as the saying goes blind. So what the heck...you never know why people love you and why indeed you would fall in love with another...hmm.. c'est la vie.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
