YOU
POET
Hey you, YEAH you
Have you ever just sat and wrote
Six, Seven, Eight, Nine,
Poems in a row with words that just flow
And only have one place to go
Upon the paper that is so dear to us
We write these words, for all
to read and see they speck
yes they talk,
They tell
Of love
Of life
Of death
And hate
I know you can hear them feel them
know what they say
Can you see what I'm trying to say
To write is to live,
To keep your name alive
for when we are gone our words
shall stay alive.
Are you a poet can you hear my words?
Do you feel the power they can have?
The sadness they can bring.
YEAH I'm talking to you
to anyone that reads these words
May god bless you
I may not always speck in riddles and rimes
But what I write is always felt by me
by you by all that read the words
All poets write words that have been written
for thousands of years,
Great men and women of old and new
Words flow great feelings
grand emotions
Will forever be ours
Thanks for reading
feeling
knowing the truth
of a poets life that is mine
And I hope yours to
