I wish you could be my shoulder when I cry
I wish you could keep me safe from all the harms
I wish you could be my truth when I'm living a lie
I wish you could be my house when it rains
I wish you could hug me when I'm down
I wish you could be my key when I'm in chains
I wish you could be my smile when I frown
I wish you could bring me back when I'm away
I wish you could be my color when everything else is grey
I wish you could be my words when I can't find anything to say
I wish you could be here for me
I wish you could be the great guy I used to know
I wish you could only see
I wish all this wasn't so long ago
