Why is it, I strive to be
something that you want of me?

You mean so much, I cant explain,
My heart alone cannot contain.

I think of all that weve gone through,
knowing it brings me closer to you.

And I wonder why you hang in there,
certainly I put you through your fair share.

But when two minds merge in life,
sometimes it brings extraordinary strife.
And yet your love bears no weight,
for deep inside, Ive found my mate.

When were together, the worlds all right.
and when we part, I must face the night.
My restless soul becomes dark and gray,
when we go our separate ways.

And though my children are beyond compare,
And the love for them is amazing to share,
Theres still a void, do I say itdo I dare?
A hole in my heart that only you repair.

You fill this spot
somewhere deep within.
And you are the only soul,
Ive ever let in.

You know me so well,
its almost unreal.
Sometimes I think,
my very thoughts you steal.

So, in this matter I have no choice.
I hope you clearly hear my voice.

I give to you my heart, my love,
despite the wrath from above.
I give it freely without regret,
Treasuring that moment our hearts met.
