My Sharona

Today I saw my Sharona
She looked up at me and smiled
I smiled back, small, unconfident
Yet she still smiled on.
I held her hand, she softly agreed
She was cold, I warmed her up
She smiled. I spoke to her
Sang her songs I knew she liked.
I went upstairs and looked out the window
The view she had always loved
Was still loving, and I shared its' thoughts
Gazed outwards to it, she stayed downstairs.
I called to her that the view was as good as ever
That it was a shame she wasn't seeing it.
I'm sure she smiled at that.
I went back downstairs, and she greeted me,
With a smile, I sat down on the sofa
I could tell she was happy.
At least she was happy, that was important
I stood up again and walked to her.
I put her favourite photo next to her
She smiled. It made me happier,
I knelt next to her and cried,
For all the tears she couldn't give.
I saw my Sharona today
She looked happy, I'm glad
She deserves to be happy
Now she can't be alive.

A fascinating write. I get the picture of a man who loved his wife very much and stayed with her until the very end---caring for her to her last breaths and even after.
Oh, there is no possessive with an apostrophe for its. You just use "its."
