the boy that i marry

Topic: LovePoetry

the boy that i marry will bring me a flower for everyday we've been together.
maybe he plays an instrument, maybe he paints, maybe he writes. something arty.
he drinks diet pop, not because he wants to lose weight, but because he likes the taste.
he doesnt write in blue, black or pencil. ever.

the boy that i marry will love apple juice, but won't steal it when it's in my fridge.
he knows a lot of jokes.
he's wordly, and he has to be born from somewhere other then here.
he doesnt mind singing to me, even if he has a horrible voice. but i wouldnt think that.

the boy that i marry will take me to free concerts, free poetry readings, free carnivals. just cuz they're free.
sometimes he tells me things that no one else knows about him.
his favourite color is brown.
his eyes are two different colors.

the boy that i marry will read and discuss things he saw in the newspaper.
he wants to stay in bed with me on sunday mornings.
he loves goat cheese almost as much as i do, and doesn't think its weird.
he doesnt say he loves me, but he shows it all the time.

the boy that i marry won't get mad when i make mistakes.
he'll vaccuum our house, only because he knows i hate doing it.
he writes notes for me on the mirror while im in the shower.
he appreciates my hair when it's messy.

the boy that i marry knows how much i love dancing.
he takes me walking out in the rain.
he's able to teach me about life in general.
he makes me go to the gym.

the boy that i marry is all these things and more. or none at all. he likes to kiss my forehead when we're in a crowd.
