He stroke her pale skin with his hand Wiping away the tears that for ever fell The only one whod ever understand That she would never be well
Brushing away her brunette hair Into her empty eyes hed stare Trying to see within her core For her sorrow he could take no more
He did not comment as she spilled her heart And listened closely to the words that poured out And he remained calm as she broke apart While blames and curses she began to shout
He caught her as to the ground she dropped Allowing her to cry into him until she stopped She fell into his arms once more Not wanting to know what else was in store
He gazed at her distressed face Longing for her smile, but knew this was not the case Then he realized hed become so greatly vain For no beauty comes without pain

I like to think you are talking about beauty of the soul here, but thats may just be me.
