In Memory of Dimebag Darrell

Contributed by bobotheclown on Thursday, 9th December 2004 @ 10:49:23 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Shooting, shooting, shooting, shooting...
As a night of fun
Swiftly turns in a chaotic nightmare,
Gun blasts turn into screams of pain and terror
As the bullets thumped into you:
A legend snuffed out... so callously.
We take comfort in knowing
You died doing what you loved.
You will be forever in my heart,
And forever in countless other's hearts;
You were a legend,
And a mentor to many
An unspeakable travesty that you died
On a blood soaked stage
Almost an insult to your many accomplishments...
Your last breath and your last vision
Your brother, Vinnie, and his tears.

I have listened to many of his albums...he was a legend in life and in death his music will always flow in our hearts...such a tragidy and it happened to such a great man...so much sickness out there and it overflowed onto his stage...taking his life...this is the first I heard of his death..though I dont watch much T.v. you have written such a beautiful tribute and dedication here Joel.
