Such A Mystery

Contributed by maryetta on Friday, 10th December 2004 @ 01:40:39 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I cling to my hopes and dreams tenaciously
they are all i have to carry me through life
nobody understands why that should matter
they dont seem to know my world very well
i am such a mystery even to myself

i never know my moods or understand them
trying to live the world of normal doesnt work
to think of myself as not normal irks me
to me i am normal its everyone else who isnt
i am such a mystery even to myself

to say im not lonely i like being alone would be a lie
but i have spent years hiding my true self
it is my way of protecting who i am what i stand for
problem is i have somehow lost me from myself
i am such a mystery even to myself

it is sad when you dont even know who you are
you are a stranger to your children and self
somehow i need to go on a quest to find me
then maybe my children and grandchildren can find me
i am such a mystery even to myself
