Blissful Dream

Last night I had a dream and you were there, I showed
up on your doorstep with flowers, I had brought the
kids each a teddy bear. I helped you tuck them away
and drift into dreamland, then I saw you smile as I
reached out for your hand. I wondered what you were
thinking as behind us I closed the door, I can still
see the clothes which in my dream you wore. I pulled
you close, and you never pulled away. I told you that
my heart was here to stay. It was yours to keep or
cast into the night, I felt a tear hit my shoulder as
you pulled me in tight. Then we made love, I've never
known a feeling so strong, how could I have once
convinced myself this was so wrong. Afterward we
talked until the morning hours, then we woke the kids
up and gave them both showers. We spent the rest of
that day together and everything fell into place,
imagine my heartache when woke up this morning and
didn't see your face. I thought for once my life was
going right, then I realized it was just a dream I had
in the night.
