Too Long
Too long have I been struggling, just to stay alive,
But no more shall I, Im taking control of my life,
Too long have I lacked to feel the warm sun upon my face,
I was trapped in a darkness, somewhere out in space,
Too long have I ignored the positive choices all around,
I kept choosing the negatives, and putting myself down,
Too long have I forgotten what it means to really live,
I didn't know how much happiness, I could receive and give,
Too long have I hidden deep within this small dark shell,
I kept ignoring paridise, instead living in this hell,
Too long have I swayed from the colours that I've lacked,
Only seeing my depressing world in shades of white and black,
Too long have I sat here, slowly but surely dying,
Now that Im back on track, life is sure worth trying.

| the "too long" part is a bit repetetive and overused, but i loved this piece and the ending. |
