An empty road

Driving down road to places I dont want to be,
Confronted with sights and sounds I dont want to see,
Everywhere I go Im an alien in a strange place,
Im so desperately unhappy with nowhere to fit my face,

Imagine every day, knowing youre not wanted near,
Constant rejection feeds and builds on existing fears,
Desperately reaching out for signs of love and care,
Crying like a baby when I realise no ones there,

Each place I visit, provides no welcome for me,
Im so lost and alone now, without my family,
Whenever Im on my own, I always start to cry,
I get so very lonely, some days I wish Id die,

So driving around, seeing schools and happy families,
Shatters me every day, and brings me to my knees,
Im even crying now; I dont want to be apart,
Dear God I need my family, to mend my broken heart.

Such a sad sad poem. *hugs and loves* Very well written.
