The silence of the spring

Contributed by iodinelove on Tuesday, 14th December 2004 @ 08:21:12 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

It has come to this;
dead poetry
on the pages of your face
i read and fall
the eternity of an
empty space
the stars of
an empty heaven

how i had laughed with you
laughed more with you
than I have ever laughed before

these words i paint with you
they cannot be beautiful
without you
the soot and silk
of your hair
the autumn leaf
your angry eyes

your heart is a river
written over silt and stone
casting forever
into your depths

I read aloud to finish you
to remember you
the silence of the spring

This was a very thoughtful poem, it's nice you took the time to reflect which is a touching thought.

i'm sry but i wasn't all that touched with your effort. Don't get me wrong it was written with good intentions from what i can tell. But how did she change you? If she did love you how does that reflect in your life? You talked about emptiness without her, but why are you empty? I read of physical appearance. Her hair, eyes, face and such. What about her as a person? What about you as a person?

~remember that nothing is real
reality is an illusion
paint it
write it
don't rely
reliance is suicide
use your mind
hearts can break~weepingprophet

This is so different from your other poems, but I do like it muchly. Reflection keeps us real, I believe...making up much of who we are in those decisions we once made and may or may not regret. I relate to this one well, you write the words too close to home sometimes. Tiffany J. (Red_October)
