A pained relief, Words said Causing one pain And relieving another. I gave her a phone call To tell her I may never See her again, And it hurt to tell her, It hurt to hear her Have to fight tears. I said, "I'd better go, I'll try to talk to you soon." My voice cracked as I said, "Baby, I love you." I heard her tears, And she said For the first time, "I love you too." I felt tears of relief, Because now I know, And tears of pain, Becuase I may never See her again.
