far away and long ago
i lived in my dreams
i knew every street
and corner
as well as every tree
now i look around and see
a place i do not know
a place so dark
and grim
and cold
i've nowhere else to go
although it is my greatest fear
just from where this place may be
i can feel it
so cold
and dark
deep inside of me
