Depression has overwhelmed me for so long
A disease that took my body over
I cant concentrate on anything, but
More than ever, I feel sober
My deepest fears are rising up
To the surface so that you can see
What Ive tried for so long to conceal
The heavy flaws embedded in me
Im holding onto you by a thread
Because I dont want to let go
Just tell me that youll understand
That Ill always be the girl you know
Itll always be just you and me
Ill never keep another thing from you
This wont tear me apart anymore
I wont let it, Im going to start anew
Im going to fight my problem head on
I can see that I was never really brave
Im ready, now, to deal with it
Im tired of digging my own grave
Im sorry for not trusting you
When you were always by my side
Ive just held onto it so long
But Ive come to a point where I need to decide
Now, Im giving you the opportunity
To show me what youre made of
To show me that NO MATTER WHAT
Its me youll always love
