Thank You

Topic: ThankYouPoems

I'm standing here in front of you,
the love of my life, trying, just trying,
to tell you how I feel about you,
how I've felt about you...
But the words just won't come out right.
I try to pay you a compliment,
but it comes out as an insult.
I try to ask you out,
but someone cuts in
and asks you first.
It's been getting very frustrating of late,
and I'm starting to think
that you'll be gone from my life forever.
But then, something amazing happened!
While I was standing there,
tongue-tied,
you walked up to me
and started talking to me!
Then, a miracle happened!
I began talking as well!
It was like this one conversation
would make up for the days and weeks
of me stuttering in front of you.
And, do you know what? It did.
Now, months later, you've showed me things
that I never dreamt of seeing,
and you've given me someone
to believe in, and that person is you.
So now, I just have to say.......
thank you.

Isn't it great when things go right? And, it's great to see someone writing about the good things.

I hope lots of people read this lovely poem and feel the hope that it brings.
