My silver-white companion, come sit for awhile; Let your radiance shine through night's black veil. Shall I tell you my secrets? Will you not betray me To the sun with your borrowed light? Yet stay and sit, let me gaze upon your beauty From my place afar. My ever-constant friend - Do you smile, or blush, or laugh up there - In your starry perch? What shadows do you keep? Whose mysteries do you hide? Will you stay mine, My silver-white companion?
