Sunset

Contributed by Ada on Saturday, 18th December 2004 @ 07:22:13 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I look up and see the sky
An endless shade of blue
Clouds drift, time goes by
All I think of is you

I close my eyes and light consumes
My momentary blindness
Memories and thoughts resume
From its previous stillness

Silence calms the rest of my senses
Amidst the noise surrounding
My thirst for love, your voice quenches
For the words of love, your heart is speaking

The silence now is shattered
Your voice fades, in air diffuses
The real world of chaos has now returned
My conscious mind no longer refuses

Memories of you, treasured once more
Remaining still, waiting to be rediscovered
My temporary blindness, gives in to the color
Of the azure, as my eyes again recovered

Straight ahead, I see the horizon
An endless shade of yellow and gold
Clouds drift, time goes on
My love has grown hours old
