Christmas Is Right Upon Us --------------------------- A Child Ponders.
Christmas is right upon us There is excitement in the air Families end their travels To places far and near
Presents are carefully wrapped Sitting pretty under the tree But none say from Santa As my child spies to see
To Grandma, To Grandpa, To the neighbors next door Isnt there any for Christian? Who is that next one for?
Why do we have to wait for Christmas For Santa Claus to come? Is that the only day on the calender That his reindeer run?
Momma, how many more days Until that wonderful day? How long in my bed Do I have to stay?
Will I get what I asked for? Will Santa remember my list? Or will he only remember that little girl Who on his lap she gave a kiss?
Would he eat the milk and cookies If I sat them out today? Or would he save them for his reindeer That pulls his heavy sleigh?
Cmon mommy, Is it time to go to bed? Do you think I can hear When Santa lands his sled?
Tuck me in mommy But not too overly tight I want to watch for Santa So dont turn off the light
Do you think hes close by Or maybe in Japan? Will you stay close by? Until I fall asleep, hold my hand
Do you think.ZZZZ ZZZZZZZ Rest my precious little one Christmas is almost here
