I stroke my rage softly Attempting to consume it Before the lies take me over And my emotions ruin everything again I try to not breathe So when I hold my breath My brain will lose some thoughts And I can stop thinking this way Though I could never live up to anyone's standards Trying to explain it But your ears are closed You wont even look at me I have no chance You are convinced It is me When it is you who is understandingless and purposeless you act hoping you die Always making me cry Shoving away my compliments Running from the consequences of making me cry You are afraid of me too Like everyone. Just because I make sense.

"You are afraid of me too
Like everyone.
Just because I make sense."
Wow...I like those final lines. Powerful way to end a poem. |
