Reality hurts, to flee is a lie,
Nothing can ease the sorrow of mine.
I lost you for good, now Im alone.
Now Im just sitting and crying at home.
I dont know how, and dont know when.
Dont know if, Ill be happy again.
Once again Im lost, despair I welcome thee.
Everybodys laughing, what is it that they see?
I think I missed my line, he took you away.
Now my chance is over, now Im here to stay.
You escaped my reach, you're out of my vision.
I wont let it happen again, and thats my decision.

| my girlfriend and i split up about two months ago after we'd been together for almost five years. I feel almost exactly as this poem puts it, alone... lost.... despair... all these things have now become only too familiar to me. I long for reprieve or escape. |
