JUST A FEW

Contributed by lemmen on Monday, 20th December 2004 @ 10:16:24 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Do you hear it.
Do you hear them the voices.

"TALKING"

Calling out my name.

Telling me lies.
Wanting me to bleed this day.

~haven't I bled enough?~
~How much more can I bleed?~
~Without killing myself!~

There they are just around the bend.
Can't you hear them

The screams of the dead.
The screams of the lost.

Calling
Calling my name
Within this madness.

Can no one hear them but me?
Telling me to cut my flesh!
Blood is the only way!

The only way to escape
From the pain within.

~No I can't bleed anymore!!~
~It's not the way!!~
~I can't get the poison out!!~
~I am the poison the poison is me!!~
~And I don't want to leave it's not my time to go.~

Look standing just over there.
So many souls that have gone on before.
Can't you see them?
Can't you hear them?

~My mind is truly going insane!~

~So many voices!~
~So many visions!~

Telling me to cut.
They want to drink of my blood
Taste of my life.
Rid me of this poison within

This death
This sin.

That mankind has inflected on me.

~Maybe blood is the only way?~
~Maybe I should get rid of the blood within?~

~NO I CAN'T DIE!!~
~I HAVE A NEW DREAM!!~
~A NEW WAY A NEW LIFE!!~

But maybe just a few cuts today.
Just to calm the voices inside of me.

well, i dunno about everyone else but i kinda liked this a lot. I like the idea of voices tell you to cut yourself, perhaps the idea has been done before, but like i said- i still like it. And if this is a personal thing: my advice-- cut yourself again and again until you feel complete.

Unless you're a cutter then you won't understand. It is like you turn into a whole different person and until you cut at least a little you can't seem to make that pain inside ease. They won't let you rest. But just don't take it too far!

The voices a cutter hears can drive them insane. They called to me last night again and I listened. Most of us write about what we feel and a cutter obviously has pain, so our poems we write will reflect that, time and again. True, unless your a cutter most don't understand.

I love you Dennis.
