Night Wish

Topic: oops

Within the shadows beyond my door
Lies he in which I'm waiting for
With eyes of red and teeth of white
When he comes for me I shall not fight,
Cloaked in darkness behind me he stands
He holds my life in the palm of his hands
With one on each shoulder...I feel his touch
I want to be with him...I want this so much,
I close my eyes and drift away
The pain but for a moment stays
He gently lays me on the ground
Soon my heart will cease to pound,
I'm waking now... I'm in a bed
His palm rests lightly above my head
He's staring off and lost in space
A fire illuminates his pale handsome face,
I stare in pure wonder...I'm not in my room
How long was I out? How far was I moved?
The room's filled with candles, swords, silken sheets
My skin feels like ice...not one drop of heat,
I start to feel frightened and he suddenly turns
The look in his eyes makes me feel I've been burned
But he gives this sly smile and says "welcome to night"
I have no regrets...and I won't miss the light.

Great poem. I love the imagery.
