Failed

Contributed by Dominus on Monday, 20th December 2004 @ 11:35:50 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Bring me shame and set it loose
So around my neck still sits a noose
From when I sat alone

Remove your eyes from my darkened soul
For I in time will pay my toll
I do not need your pity

Have you ever seen me looking sad?
Or sitting staring, looking mad?
I must learn that these are simple things

So again I have failed.
And into my coffin lid Ive nailed
My last breath of sanity

Why worry how or why they do it
A fickle mind with a line straight through it
Its so hard to think for myself

As a flower without a purpose
A flower without a stem
Ive fallen down and broken and became one of them
A Dullard

Nicely done.
I really like this part...
And into my coffin lid I’ve nailed
My last breath of sanity
.
Good job!

Great write.
Broken flowers among nails holding still the cover to ones darkened soul. Sounds beautiful and yet full of pain.
