GOD IS EVERYWHERE

Contributed by Rhymingron on Tuesday, 21st December 2004 @ 01:00:39 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

I looked for God in holy places
I looked for him on busy streets
I searched each day at work and play
Where e'er I searched he wasn't there
Oh where is God? Oh where, oh where?

I search for him through hill and valley.
Through mountains, deserts, sea to sea.
Looked through forest, fields and farmland
I searched and search, he wasn't there.
Oh where is God? I know not where.

I looked for him in far off places
I search by land by air and sea.
Searched the faces of the races
I couldn't find him any where.
Where are you God? Please tell me where.

I grew weary from my searching
And fell on bended knee in prayer.
Ah, at last my search was over.
Once I found God inside my heart
I see him everywhere.

I'm glad I kept reading. I've been lost so many times. And then there He is. The world seems brighter then... I Love this poem. Great work.
