I hate what's happened to this family
We've drifted so far apart
As I look back on all the years
I wonder 'When did it all start?'
Was it way back when I was only a child?
Or when my Dad broke our family in two?
I thought we would always be there for one another
To see each other through
But that no longer is the case
We're not close to the ones we love
Will these circumstances ever change?
Will my prayer be answered from above?
When will we be able to laugh again?
And finally be as one?
When will the pain and suffering end?
When will the hurt be undone?
To talk and laugh and enjoy each other
Is all that I've ever asked
I want to put this all behind me
And leave it in the past
