I could beg and I could cry
but, what good would it do?
Still no happiness for me
just satisfaction for you
You lead me on without trying
I follow far behind
Lost in the confusion
The fault here is all mine
I've lied to myself
I've cared for my own wounds
I create these illusions
The truth surfaced too soon
You have a cold heart
Yet you make my heart beat
There's a hole here inside
Where you make me complete
To you I'm just a girl
I fall inline with the rest
Out of all who have hurt me
You did the job best
Now I lay down broken
And you don't even know
I wait here to die
Still my heart won't let go

| this was an amazing write. it looks like a lot of effort was put into this and it paid off well. there is something about this write that sets it apart from a lot that i have read and i guess it is because of your style and diction. this wasnt a chore to read, it was a joy to read. sometimes we need to let go to hold on to something else..... |

I am really glad that i took the time to read your poem. I feel the same way you do, I just regret not being the one to not say it first. I really like how you used a lot of emotion. I am sorry that this had to happen to you, you obviously deserve better. Please, keep up the exquisite work!

Its really sad when you love someone and they don't love you back. Just a one sided love. It isn't fair for you , I hope your strong to move on with your life. You deserve more..
