My Obligations

Topic: Lifepoems

theres so much that i just need to do
i need to meet you
i need to love and homor you

i need to be a momey
and an aunty
all to the same lil girl
i need to help her in this world

i need to find myself
i wanna meet an elf

i wanna hear your sweet cute laugh
i wanna know what i have
i want you to hear my laugh
i wanna show you what you have

shes so young and already been to hell and back
i wanna show her that its ok
i'll keep her out of living in a shack
i want her to know that everything is gonna be ok 1 day

i wanna find me
i wanna be able to see
i wanna be able to dream
i dont want you to hear me scream

willie
be with me
maybe not now,but when we meet
we can meet and i can greet

dear caitlin
please dont grin
i know when you're sad even when you laugh
one i'll take you to see a big girrafe

to myself
i'm as short as an elf
but i try to be happy
but then i become angry

my obligations
sometimes arent a temptaion
are they suppose to be lessons?
i guess i have no options

i'm fine with what i live for
i aint closing any of these doors
none of these i will ignore
can i be someones mentor?

Don't take this wrong, but your poem was simple and yet effective. The playfulness was what I most got from this, but you did show some self doubt mixed with a dig on yourself. In life, there are things we can change and things we can't. You obviously have some grasp of this as you were trying to help some other people you know to feel better. You deserve it to. Thanks for reading my opinion.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
