Time after time I feel her
Waiting for what we could be
Beautiful green eyes shining
Much Closer as she looks at me.
I know that Im getting weaker
The resistance is much too strong
Her temptation is making me fall
One step Closer, and I may be gone.
Closer to the edge of a lifetime
Much Closer to letting me go
To melt into all she is spilling
To face what I already know.
Her touch has made me tremble
The simple way she moves her hair
Her smile is always around me
Brings me Closer to being there.
But my heart has hurt for another
In love somehow that cant be
Im Closer to my destination
Still searching for my destiny.
My head is finding the answers
The ones that my heart tried to hide
Colliding, conflicting emotions
Much Closer to truth left denied.
Afraid that Ill let my heart pour
I need strength to find my way
Im Closer to fates resolution
One step Closer still today.
Ive already heard I love you
Ive felt her truth deep inside me
Still fighting the battle of conscience
Much Closer to letting it be.
She makes me want to just give in
Im right on the edge, will I fall?
Can I keep on lying to myself?
So much Closer, I could lose it all.
Resistance is gripping me tightly
My desire is taking its toll
Im Closer to taking her hand
But fear is this loss of control.
One step Closer to letting me go
Shes winning, I just cannot hide
Is it time to let my heart go?
So much Closer to let love inside.
Im biding my time till its time
Its too late as these feelings stir
My walls have fallen around me
One breath Closer to loving her.
