Perfectly Imperfect

Contributed by xxbreathlessx on Friday, 24th December 2004 @ 03:18:14 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Perfectly imperfect.
Time runs away from me.
Eyes race across me.
Good and bad.
Perfectly imperfect.
Whispers sing a song
Jealousy and boredom
Perfectly imperfect.
Rain drips down
Like tears that flow from heaven,
Perfect.
As it hits against my skin they change.
Perfectly imperfect.
The wind surrounds me
Pulling me into its world
Blessing me with purity.
Blessing the perfectly imperfect.
I stand up, now.
Clear my voice, eyes open.
Are you listening?
Because here I am to say
There is no shame with being
Perfectly Imperfect.
In fact - its beautiful.

Again, you come through in this poem with a voice of maturity and wisdom beyond your years.

Perfectly Imperfect

That is beautiful and it makes me happy that you truly have come to that realization on your own. It's a deep and profound realization that life is perfect as it is, with all of its imperfections. I think that this is basically a feeling of unconditional acceptance for what is, whether it is good or bad, it is the realization that everything is in its right place, even if it seems "imperfect" to our own perspective. I think that if we can have this attitude throughout our lives, then we will be able to more easily cope with life's hardships, which leads to a more satisfying, fulfilling experience of life.

Clear my voice, eyes open.
Are you listening?
Because here I am to say
There is no shame with being
Perfectly Imperfect.
In fact - its beautiful.

Be True,
zenmind
