Every night I lay thinking about you
Being here alone keeps breaking my heart in two
I try to convince myself that I've moved on
But inside I know that I'm dead wrong
How my heart beats without you is oblivious to me
I've told it so many times that you'll come back and see
Here I am beginning to cry,
As I realize everything I said was a lie
So as I lay here thinking about you
I close my eyes to dream a dream that will never come true
But I'll keep my hope and pretend I don't care
As I slip into a world where you were never there
