selfstruggles

the world benevolent I'd turn my back hatred for hatred angry words spoken and they stay in the room suffocate me
hands stretching for me as I fall faster from the cliff drowning in alcohol stuck in a cloud of smoke drifting drifting
I stand tall hands up in the sky cradle the moon
innocent in corruption eyes wide waiting the next day dawns
I've stayed away from that world the one you wake from covered in sweat there is no life there where you aren't conscious of self you crouch slowly to the next moment so ashamed
I am home there is warmth and coffee and smiles children run the halls laughing and I am home
